This week the Lake County Board of County Commissioners:
- Approved a $2,615,936 budget transfer and addendum to the Professional Firefighters of Lake County collective bargaining agreement.
- Approved purchasing a Pierce custom pumper fire truck from Ten-8 Fire & Safety for $1,249,125.
- Approved two on-call guardrail and handrail repair contracts totaling $250,000 with C. Slagter Construction and Southeast Highway Guardrail.
- Approved $225,000 in tourist development tax funding for Discover Lake County to sponsor Montverde Academy at $75,000 per year.
- Approved the agreement with LYNX to continue providing weekend and holiday Link 55 fixed route bus service in South Lake County at a cost of $174,233.
- Approved the first amendment to the rail-trail extension memorandum of agreement with an estimated fiscal impact not to exceed $11,000.
