This week the Lake County Board of County Commissioners:
- Approved emergency road repair on Cherry Lake Road shoulder up to $400,496 without competitive bidding under Florida Statutes Section 255.20.
- Approved three non-road paving service contracts totaling $500,000 with Estep Construction, J & L General Services, and Pro Way Paving Systems.
- Approved the annual core contract with the Lake County Department of Health at $482,547 for October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.
- Approved up to $156,000 in tourist development tax funding to host the 2026-2028 FHSAA State Golf Championships at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills.
- Approved up to $30,000 for privacy fencing on three properties adjacent to the recently constructed Bay Road roundabout.
- Approved a $22,739 change order for engineering and design services for Villa City Road turn lanes.
