This week the Lake County Board of County Commissioners:
- Allowed Commissioner Campione to participate and vote electronically on the October 13 agenda due to extraordinary circumstances.
- Rezoned approximately 4.33 acres from mixed residential to light industrial to expand a self-storage facility near U.S. Highway 441 in Tavares.
- Amended the planned commercial district near U.S. Highway 441 to allow golf cart retail sales at Ady's Marketplace.
- Tabled the Church of God Campground rezoning request to June 1, 2027, pending further review of RV site and commercial use proposals.
- Rezoned approximately 19.68 gross acres from agriculture to a 57-lot residential subdivision called Sunshower Estates near U.S. Highway 441 in Leesburg.
- Denied the Tiger Paw Estates rezoning request to replace duplex villas and vacation suites with 25 single-family homes near U.S. Highway 441 in Clermont.
